2. Client Eligibility

Clients must be at least 18 years old to enter into an agreement with Pawfect Obedience LLC.

A parent or legal guardian must enter into the agreement on behalf of a minor.

The person enrolling a dog represents that they are the dog’s legal owner or have authorization from the legal owner to make training, handling, veterinary, and emergency decisions concerning the dog.

3. Training Results Are Not Guaranteed

Dog training results vary significantly based on the individual dog, including the dog’s temperament, genetics, age, health, previous experiences, behavioral history, environment, consistency of training, and owner participation.

PAWFECT OBEDIENCE LLC DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT ANY DOG WILL ACHIEVE A PARTICULAR TRAINING OR BEHAVIORAL RESULT.

Training requires continued participation and consistency from the owner or handler. Behaviors may return, change, or develop after training, particularly when training recommendations are not consistently followed.

Pawfect Obedience LLC will make reasonable professional efforts to help clients reach their training goals, but completion of a training program does not guarantee permanent behavior modification or perfect obedience.

4. Behavioral Disclosure

Clients must truthfully disclose all known behavioral concerns before or during training, including but not limited to:

  • Aggression

  • Biting or attempted biting

  • Resource guarding

  • Reactivity toward people or animals

  • Fear-related behavior

  • Escape behavior

  • Separation-related behavior

  • Previous attacks or serious incidents

  • Known triggers

  • Medical conditions that could affect behavior

Failure to disclose known behavioral or medical concerns may result in suspension or termination of services.

Pawfect Obedience LLC reserves the right to modify a training plan, require additional safety measures, refuse a particular training activity, or discontinue services when reasonably necessary for the safety of the dog, trainer, client, other animals, or members of the public.

5. Client Responsibilities

Successful training requires client participation.

Clients agree to:

  • Follow reasonable training instructions provided by Pawfect Obedience LLC.

  • Practice assigned exercises between training sessions when applicable.

  • Properly use training equipment as instructed.

  • Maintain reasonable control of their dog.

  • Inform Pawfect Obedience LLC of significant behavioral or medical changes.

  • Follow safety instructions during lessons and group classes.

  • Comply with applicable animal-control, vaccination, leash, and licensing requirements.

Pawfect Obedience LLC is not responsible for training setbacks resulting from failure to follow training instructions or from circumstances outside the company’s reasonable control.

6. Training Methods and Equipment

Pawfect Obedience LLC may use various training methods and equipment depending on the dog, training goals, behavior, safety considerations, and individual training plan.

Training equipment may include, where appropriate, items such as standard collars, buckle collars, long lines, leashes, food rewards, toys, slip leads, training collars, electronic collars, or other commonly used training equipment.

Pawfect Obedience LLC strives to select equipment and techniques appropriate for the individual dog and training situation.

When specialized training equipment is used, clients are responsible for following instructions regarding proper fitting, operation, maintenance, and continued use.

Clients should notify Pawfect Obedience LLC if they have questions or concerns regarding a particular training method or piece of equipment.

7. Health and Veterinary Care

Clients are responsible for determining whether their dog is physically healthy enough to participate in training.

Clients must disclose injuries, illnesses, medications, veterinary restrictions, or other health conditions that could affect training.

Pawfect Obedience LLC does not provide veterinary services and does not diagnose or treat medical conditions.

If Pawfect Obedience LLC believes a medical issue may be contributing to a behavioral problem, training may be paused or modified until the dog has been evaluated by a veterinarian.

In an emergency involving a dog in the care or physical control of Pawfect Obedience LLC, reasonable efforts will be made to contact the owner or emergency contact when circumstances permit.

8. Vaccinations and Communicable Illness

Dogs participating in services involving other dogs or public environments should be appropriately vaccinated or otherwise managed according to veterinary recommendations and applicable laws.

Clients must not knowingly bring a dog to a lesson, class, event, or Pawfect Obedience location when the dog has a contagious illness.

Clients must notify Pawfect Obedience LLC before attending if their dog has recently experienced symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, persistent coughing, unusual nasal discharge, fever, or another potentially contagious condition.

Pawfect Obedience LLC may ask a dog to leave or postpone training when illness is reasonably suspected.

9. Scheduling, Cancellations, and Rescheduling

Appointments are subject to availability.

Specific cancellation, rescheduling, missed-appointment, deposit, and refund requirements may be provided when an appointment or package is booked. Any policy displayed during booking, stated on an invoice, or included in a separate training agreement becomes part of these Terms.

Weather, emergencies, trainer illness, unsafe environmental conditions, facility closures, or circumstances outside our reasonable control may require Pawfect Obedience LLC to reschedule a lesson or class.

When Pawfect Obedience LLC cancels a scheduled service, reasonable efforts will be made to provide a replacement date or other appropriate resolution.

10. Payments

Prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.

Clients agree to pay all charges associated with the services or products they select.

Payment schedules, deposits, installment arrangements, and remaining balances may vary depending on the training program or service purchased.

Failure to make required payments may result in suspension of training services until the account is brought current.

Any applicable taxes may be added to purchases as required by law.

11. Refunds

Refund eligibility depends on the particular service, package, product, and stage of performance.

Any refund or non-refundable deposit terms presented during booking, checkout, invoicing, or within a separate signed service agreement will control for that transaction.

Training time, consultations, completed lessons, products already provided, customized items, and other services already performed may not be refundable except when otherwise required by law or expressly agreed to by Pawfect Obedience LLC.

12. Training Packages and Included Equipment

Certain training packages may include training equipment such as an electronic collar, long line, buckle collar, leash, or other equipment.

The exact equipment included in a package will be determined by the package description or written agreement in effect when the package is purchased.

Equipment provided with a training package is intended for the enrolled dog unless otherwise stated.

Clients are responsible for properly maintaining equipment after it is provided to them.

Manufacturer warranties, when applicable, may be subject to the manufacturer’s own terms and conditions.

13. Lifetime Group Classes and Lifetime Support

Certain Pawfect Obedience LLC training packages may expressly include “lifetime group classes,” “lifetime support,” return visits, or similar benefits.

When these benefits are included, “lifetime” means the lifetime of the dog enrolled in the qualifying training program, subject to Pawfect Obedience LLC continuing to operate and offer the applicable service.

Lifetime benefits are:

  • Limited to the dog originally enrolled in the qualifying package.

  • Non-transferable to another dog or owner unless Pawfect Obedience LLC agrees otherwise in writing.

  • Subject to scheduling and trainer availability.

  • Subject to current safety and participation requirements.

  • Subject to reasonable changes in class schedules, locations, formats, or training procedures.

Lifetime group classes do not mean unlimited private lessons.

Lifetime support does not create a guarantee that every future behavioral problem will be corrected at no additional charge. New or substantially different behavioral concerns may require a separate evaluation or training program.

When a package specifically includes free return visits after training, those visits apply to reasonable follow-up assistance for the dog and training covered by the original program and must be scheduled according to availability.

14. Group Classes

Participation in group classes is a privilege and is subject to safety requirements.

Pawfect Obedience LLC may limit or discontinue a dog’s participation in a group class when the dog’s behavior presents an unreasonable safety risk or substantially disrupts the training environment.

A dog that is not currently appropriate for a group environment may be offered private training or another training option when available.

Class locations, schedules, and frequency may change.

15. Service-Dog Training

Pawfect Obedience LLC may provide service-dog training and public-access preparation.

Enrollment in or completion of a service-dog training program does not guarantee that a dog will ultimately be appropriate for service work.

Dogs being considered for service work may be continually evaluated for characteristics including temperament, behavior, health, confidence, recovery from stress, obedience, task-training ability, and behavior in public environments.

Pawfect Obedience LLC may recommend discontinuing service-dog training when, in the trainer’s professional judgment, continued service work would be inappropriate, unsafe, or unfair to the dog or handler.

Pawfect Obedience LLC may establish training benchmarks before progressing a dog into advanced public-access training. These may include the AKC Canine Good Citizen (“CGC”) test or other training evaluations.

Any such requirement is a Pawfect Obedience LLC training standard and should not be interpreted as a statement that federal law requires a CGC title, professional certification, registration, identification card, vest, or other private certification for a dog to qualify as a service animal.

Clients remain responsible for understanding and complying with applicable federal, state, and local laws relating to service animals.

Pawfect Obedience LLC does not guarantee public-access rights, certification, accommodation approval, housing approval, airline approval, or acceptance of a particular dog by any third party.

16. Public Training Sessions

Training may occur in parks, stores, sidewalks, businesses, events, or other public environments when appropriate.

Public environments involve circumstances that Pawfect Obedience LLC cannot control, including interactions with people, children, animals, vehicles, noises, environmental hazards, and unexpected distractions.

Clients agree to follow trainer instructions regarding safety and handling during public training.

Permission to train inside privately owned businesses remains subject to the policies and legal obligations applicable to that business.

17. Assumption of Risk

IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Working with dogs involves inherent and unpredictable risks.

Dogs may bite, scratch, jump, pull, run, fight, escape, knock a person down, damage property, or otherwise behave unpredictably even when they have previously demonstrated reliable behavior.

By voluntarily participating in dog training services, the client acknowledges and assumes the ordinary and inherent risks associated with handling, training, transporting, or being around dogs.

These risks may include personal injury, animal injury, property damage, illness, or other losses.

18. RELEASE AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY TEXAS LAW, THE CLIENT VOLUNTARILY ASSUMES THE INHERENT RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH DOG TRAINING AND RELEASES PAWFECT OBEDIENCE LLC AND ITS OWNERS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, TRAINERS, REPRESENTATIVES, AND AGENTS FROM CLAIMS ARISING FROM THOSE INHERENT RISKS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS RELEASE IS INTENDED TO INCLUDE CLAIMS ARISING FROM THE ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE OF PAWFECT OBEDIENCE LLC OR ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, TRAINERS, REPRESENTATIVES, OR AGENTS.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to release liability that cannot legally be waived, including liability resulting from conduct for which a release is prohibited by applicable law.

The client remains responsible for injuries or damages caused by the client’s dog to the extent permitted by law.

19. Responsibility for Dog Behavior

Owners and handlers remain responsible for their dogs and for complying with applicable laws.

Training does not eliminate the possibility of future aggression, bites, escapes, property damage, or other unwanted behavior.

Clients should continue using reasonable precautions even after a dog completes training.

A trainer’s statement that a dog has improved, passed an evaluation, or completed a training program is not a guarantee that the dog will behave reliably in every environment or circumstance.

20. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, clients agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Pawfect Obedience LLC and its owners, employees, contractors, and agents from third-party claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising from the client’s dog, the client’s violation of these Terms, or the client’s failure to follow training or safety instructions, except to the extent the claim results from conduct for which liability cannot legally be waived or transferred.

21. Photos and Videos

Pawfect Obedience LLC may photograph or record training activities for training documentation, educational purposes, or business operations.

Any use of identifiable client images or videos for advertising, social media, website content, or promotional purposes will be governed by any applicable photo/media authorization provided by the client.

Clients should notify Pawfect Obedience LLC if they do not want themselves included in promotional photographs or videos.

Products should be inspected regularly for wear or damage and replaced when necessary.

Additional shipping, return, exchange, or custom-order policies displayed during checkout become part of these Terms.

27. Refusal or Termination of Services

Pawfect Obedience LLC reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate services when reasonably necessary, including situations involving:

  • Unsafe behavior

  • Undisclosed aggression or bite history

  • Threatening, abusive, or inappropriate conduct

  • Repeated failure to follow safety instructions

  • Nonpayment

  • Fraud or misrepresentation

  • Illegal activity

  • Circumstances that create an unreasonable risk to a dog, client, trainer, other animal, or member of the public

Any financial obligations following termination will be determined according to the applicable package, refund policy, services already performed, and applicable law.

28. Force Majeure and Events Outside Our Control

Pawfect Obedience LLC will not be responsible for delays, cancellations, or inability to provide services resulting from circumstances reasonably outside our control, including severe weather, natural disasters, government orders, utility interruptions, facility closures, illness, emergencies, unsafe road conditions, or similar events.

When practical, affected services will be rescheduled.

30. Severability

If any portion of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

31. No Waiver

Failure by Pawfect Obedience LLC to enforce any provision of these Terms on one occasion does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce that provision in the future.

32. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

To the extent permitted by law, any legal proceeding relating to these Terms or services provided by Pawfect Obedience LLC shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction serving Navarro County, Texas.

33. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any applicable training agreement, liability waiver, booking policy, invoice terms, package description, privacy policy, or other written agreement between the client and Pawfect Obedience LLC, constitute the applicable agreement between the parties.

If a separate signed service agreement contains terms that directly conflict with these general website Terms, the more specific signed service agreement will control with respect to that service.

34. Contact Us
